Robin Swan's formal path into holistic healing — and the years she learned that the body keeps its stories.
Robin's formal path into holistic healing began in 1982 at the Muller School of Massage in San Diego, California, where she completed more than one thousand hours of study and earned her certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner.
What started as an education quickly became a lifelong pursuit. Robin discovered that healing was never just physical. The body carried stories. Trauma lived in tissue. Pain often revealed itself in layers. Every client became a teacher.
As her understanding deepened, so did her education. She pursued advanced studies in structural integration, body dearmoring, theology, hypnotherapy, aromatherapy, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, myofascial release, Reiki, and numerous other healing modalities. Each discipline added another lens through which to understand the human experience.
But knowledge alone was never enough. Robin sought real-world experience.
Over the following decades she built a thriving practice that eventually brought her into world-class hotels, medical clinics, sports organizations, and rehabilitation settings. She worked alongside chiropractors, osteopaths, surgeons, and wellness practitioners. She worked with members of the Los Angeles Lakers, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and athletes connected to the 1984 U.S. Olympic Team. She served as a massage therapist on tours with Tom Petty, Rick James, and Def Leppard.
The environments changed. The people changed. The lesson remained the same: every person wants to feel better, every person wants to be seen, every person wants hope.
At the same time, another side of Robin's story was emerging. In Jerusalem she earned a Bachelor of Science in Race Human Relationships from Hebrew University. While there she participated in the development of an innovative preschool program bringing Arab and Jewish children together in a shared educational environment.
Even then, her work was never simply about wellness. It was about connection. It was about creating spaces where healing could occur, whether between communities, families, or individuals.
